On the course you'll learn all about PAT testing from our expert tutors. In your morning session you'll learn about the basics of electricity, electrical safety, the rules and regulations regarding PAT testing and carry out a test using your new-found knowledge. This is all supported by high-quality notes and the tuition of our qualified expert, who is on hand to help you with whatever you need.

After lunch attendees will then be able to carry out PAT-testing themselves during the afternoon session. Your tutor will show you how to PAT test a wide number of different appliances using either our PAT testers or your own (which you're welcome to bring along with you).

By achieving the required pass mark you'll be fully certified as a PAT tester and will be presented with your certificate as proof.

What is PAT Testing?

PAT, or Portable Appliance Testing, is an essential part of electrical maintenance. Carrying out this process ensures that a workplace or equipment adheres to several different regulatory bodies, and also deems that different appliances are safe for use.

Anyone can learn how to PAT test; you don't have to be a qualified electrician to carry out the work.

What you do need, however, is the necessary training to carry out the process, as many regulatory bodies require a certified individual to carry out the tests.

Course Information
