Pat Testing Course FAQsHow many people do you allow on the course?We allow a maximum of 8 people on any of our 1 day Pat courses. We keep to this low number so that everyone gets the individual attention they deserve. Some companies accept 10 � 15 people which we believe is unacceptable. What type of certificate will I receive?Upon successful completion of the multiple choice exam you will receive a Certificate of Competence in In Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment. Our courses are based on the IEE Code of Practice. Is there an examination?Yes. There is a 20 question multiple choice exam with no time limit. Our success rate is excellent and we rarely have people who fail the course. Do I need to have a refresher course every year?No. There is no stipulation to have a pat testing certificate renewed. What we would advise is that if you have not carried out Pat Testing for a while and need a refresher you could use the Pat Testing Training Online Course as a refresher or attend a 1 day course. What is covered on the 1 day Pat Testing Courses?Everything you need to know is covered on the Pat Testing course. For more in depth detail take a look at our course syllabus page. I don't have any electrical experience does it matter?Most of the people who attend our courses have no electrical experience whatsoever. We have tailored the course to accommodate this. We are the only company to give delegates a Pat testing training Online Course after the course. This is an excellent reference tool and is great for refreshing your knowledge whenever you feel you need it. What if I have a question after the course?Give us a call. At any time there are at least two people in the office who have an in depth knowledge of Pat testing and the test equipment. We pride ourselves on our after sales service. Can I start a Pat Testing Business?We have helped many individuals start a Pat testing business from the initial course to selection of the correct test equipment through to advice on insurance! After the training you are able to set up a Pat testing business and we have many happy customers to prove it! I do not have a pat tester � can I still attend?Yes. We provide everything that you need to complete the day including 4 training machines which are the Seaward Europa Plus range of testers. We also have a range of testers that you can use during the course if you wish. We also supply pat testers on our sister site www.pat-services.co.uk. We can advise you on the best testers to suit your requirements. You can also save money with our great range of Pat Testing Starter Kits. I have my own pat tester can I use it?Yes, If you bring your own tester you can use it on the day and we will show you how to use it. As we are experts in the field we know all types of pat tester from manufacturers such as Seaward, Megger, Robin, Fluke and Metrel etc. What are the course times?Courses start at approx 9.15 am and generally finish around 4 pm. How can I pay for the Pat testing Course?The training courses must be paid for in advance. Booking online by credit card is the easiest method as you will receive your email confirmation immediately. We also accept cheque or purchase order. However the place is not confirmed until the cheque or purchase order has been received. Simply complete the online booking form in the same way and a provisional booking can be made. Just send these along with your cheque or purchase order to confirm the place.
